Welcome to Sow Revolution. By creating an account or using this website you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the site.

1. Purpose of the Site
   Sow Revolution is a community platform for seed swapping. Members can list seeds they have available, discover seeds from other members, arrange swaps, and communicate through real-time chat. The platform also offers optional Plus membership plans.

2. User Accounts
   To use the platform you must register for an account by providing your name, username, email address, and a password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account or allow others to access it. You must provide accurate and truthful information when registering.

3. Seed Listings & Swaps
   Members may list seeds they wish to swap and arrange swaps with other members. All seed listings must be accurate and honest. Sow Revolution facilitates connections between members but is not a party to, and does not guarantee the completion of, any swap agreement. We do not guarantee the quality, viability, germination rate, species accuracy, or safety of any seeds listed or exchanged on the platform. Members are solely responsible for ensuring any seeds they send or receive comply with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Dispatch, Delivery & Non-Receipt
   Seeds are sent directly between members by post or courier that they arrange and pay for themselves. Sow Revolution does not dispatch, handle, insure, or take custody of any seeds at any point, and is not a courier or delivery service. Any tracking codes, courier names, or dispatch confirmations shown on the platform are self-reported by members and are not verified by Sow Revolution. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sow Revolution accepts no responsibility and will not be liable for seeds that are lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, or never received, or for any dispute between members about whether a swap was completed. Any such issues are solely between the members involved.

5. Biosecurity, Plant Health & Legal Compliance
   Seeds and plant material can carry pests, diseases, or weeds, and their movement — including within the UK and especially across international borders — may be restricted or prohibited by plant health, biosecurity, customs, or import/export law. Members are solely responsible for checking and complying with all such laws before sending or accepting seeds, and for any consequences of failing to do so. Sow Revolution accepts no liability for any loss, damage, fine, seizure, or other consequence arising from a member sending, receiving, or handling seeds that do not comply with applicable law, or from any pest, disease, or contamination associated with seeds exchanged through the platform.

6. Plus Membership
   Sow Revolution offers optional Plus membership plans with additional features. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation details are provided at the point of purchase. You may manage your subscription through the billing portal at any time.

7. User Conduct
   You agree not to post unlawful, harmful, defamatory, misleading, or infringing content. You must not use the platform to harass, abuse, or threaten other members. Sow Revolution reserves the right to remove any content or suspend any account that breaches these Terms.

8. Feedback & Ratings
   Members may leave feedback and ratings for swap partners. Feedback must be honest and fair. Sow Revolution reserves the right to remove feedback that is abusive, fraudulent, or otherwise breaches these Terms.

9. Content Ownership
   All content on this website (including text, logos, graphics, and designs) is owned by Sow Revolution unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse content from this site without prior written permission. By uploading content (such as seed photos or descriptions), you grant Sow Revolution a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform.

10. Email Subscriptions
    By creating an account you consent to receiving transactional emails (such as swap notifications and email verification). You may also opt in to receive newsletters and digest emails. You may manage your notification preferences from your account settings at any time.

11. Third-Party Services
    We use third-party services to operate parts of the site, including Stripe for payment processing, Lettr for mailing list management and transactional emails, Pusher for real-time chat delivery, and Algolia for search. Plus members may optionally enable Google Cloud Vision to read text from seed packet photos. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics and Hotjar for site analytics, and Meta (Facebook) Pixel for advertising — see our Privacy Policy for details and how to manage your preferences. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

12. Account Termination
    You may delete your account at any time. Sow Revolution reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimer & Liability
    The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sow Revolution makes no guarantees about the availability, accuracy, reliability, or security of the site, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Sow Revolution is not a party to, and is not liable for, any swap, transaction, or communication between members, including any loss or damage arising from seeds that are lost, delayed, damaged, mismatched, non-viable, or never received. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sow Revolution excludes all liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, and for any loss of profit, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, Sow Revolution's total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the site will not exceed the greater of £50 or the total amount you paid us for Plus membership in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnity
    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sow Revolution, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your use of the platform, your breach of these Terms, your seed listings or swaps, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

15. Severability & Entire Agreement
    If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Sow Revolution regarding your use of the site and supersede any prior agreements.

16. Changes to These Terms
    We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

17. Governing Law
    These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
